How to tell if you’re doing dollar-productive activities

There’s a difference between support activities and dollar-productive activities. In order to see what you’re spending time on, break down your schedule to 15 or 30 minute blocks and write down what you did in each time block. Use different color markers to highlight whether the activity was dollar-productive or support.


The importance of humble implementation and disciplined execution

When you’re starting out, you must have the intentional fortitude to stay committed even when it hurts. If you stick to it long enough, you will develop the good habits. By the time it’s a part of you, you will have forgotten how painful it was to implement.  


Why you should infuse every part of the business with your core values

You should be relating everything back to your core values and weaving it into the fabric of your business. Recite the mission statement before and after meetings, and make the values go beyond the office.  Make sure you’re not making concessions on core values and culture fit.
