When you plan your business, you can design it on paper and then go out and execute it. My 2010 plan had me out of production in 3 years - and I was able to exit production in 2 years. You would be surprised at how few real estate team leaders, and even top producing agents, have business plans.
Real Estate B-School serves only the top 1% of the industry - but even in that small pool of agents and team leaders, they lack that aspect. They don’t have a plan, they can’t see down the road, and they don’t have direction.
The first part is a 3 year vision. You need to get this down so that you know which direction you’re steering your business. You need goals on the horizon to aim for.
Next you have a 1 year plan - where do you want to be by next year? What steps can you take to get closer to your 3 year goals?
Then you need to live in a 90 day world. This means that every single day for a quarter, you have to take control of each day and break down that yearly plan into manageable rocks. Take steps each day to get closer to where you need to be.
How can you implement this into your business? What would change if you started looking ahead to 3 years down the road, and building an actionable plan for your business based on that?
